When you get God's Spirit in, upon, and flowing through you demon spirits tremble in your presence. Jesus said, "If I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, than the kingdom of God has come unto you" (Matthew 12:28). Establishing the kingdom of God on earth requires that we first kick out all the demons inhabiting and controlling people. You are either filled with the Holy Spirit or another evil spirit (Romans 8:9). The powers of the air controlling atmospheres over cities greatly influence people (Ephesians 2:1-2). Most Americans know nothing about demonology beyond the exorcist movies we watch. Exorcism is far more simple than TV makes it look. Exorcism is just a fancy name for casting out a demon spirit, which can be done relatively easy when you know your spiritual authority in Christ. Talking to demons is like rebuking a disobedient dog, you just do it in the Name of Jesus. Demon spirits show up in the strangest places and manifest their ugliness any time. Jesus was in synagogue when a devil cried out interrupting the service (Mark 1:22-28). Jesus told the devil to shut up and cast it out of the person. I was ministering in Punjab, India and was nearly ready to close the service after I prayed for those who gave in the offering. Usually in foreign countries I preach and then give the service back to the local Pastor to conduct. In Punjab, the precious Pastor asked me to pray for the offering and those who gave at the end of the service. While I was doing so, suddenly some lady began screaming out frantically and demonically in the back of the building. I told the devil to shut up and proceeded to cast it out. I thought I would be going back to my hotel immediately after a short prayer. God had other plans. The anointing and power of the Holy Spirit was so strong upon the prayer, a demon manifested and came out. Afterward more people came forward to give into that offering and the place erupted with great joy. I've ministered in every continent and by God's grace liberated people in all of them from ugly dirty little devils. Greater is Christ Jesus in His people than the power of evil in the world (1 John 4:4). Jesus gives His disciples power over all of the power of the enemy (Luke 10:17-21). Let us therefore arise break the back of the devil, set the captives free, and declare liberty throughout the land.
