Stark | Submitted On July 12, 2007 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author R. R. Stark Have the real Men in Black finally been revealed? You'll find many fascinating accounts in Jenny Randles' book The Truth Behind Men in Black, many of which I've used as references in this five-part article. So here's one last account that just might blow the lid off the whole Men in Black extravaganza -- if we're lucky. There is a man who believes he has actually uncovered exactly who these mysterious MIBs are, at least the faction that is in the United States. Bill Moore is a UFO researcher who claims that he has somehow penetrated the Pentagon and other sources as well, plus he has searched through evidence that has been disclosed by the USA's Freedom of Information Act, although I'm sure the highest levels of information were not disclosed. The government would never cut its own throat like that. Nevertheless, he believes that the government took on the elaborate guise of the Men in Black in order to proceed with their nefarious actions. He uncovered that there existed a covert unit that continually covered its tracks by changing its name and often it's location, at least since the early 1950s. On the surface, what may appear to have been several different branches of the government that were created and then later discontinued, over the last several decades, may have actually been only one group that persevered through several incarnations, a covert group which was quite possibly what we call Men in Black. According to Bill Moore, its first incarnation begin around 1950 or so, first called the 1006th Intelligence Squadron. In 1959 it used the cover name of 1127th Field Activities Group. Then in the latter half of the 1970s it went through another transformation and became the 7602 Air Intelligence Group. Finally, in 1983 it was known as the AFSAC, or Air Force Special Activities Center. Currently, this division is still functioning and is under the command of the Air Force Intelligence faction at Kelly Air Force Base in Texas. Bill Moore reports that this group essentially collects or confiscates intelligence and evidence from obvious witnesses of UFO and related phenomena, usually by coercion, hence via covert means, as opposed to more mainstream methods such as by electronic sources or research from hardcopy material. Evidently, agents from the AFSAC (or via its other names it has used over the years) disguise themselves as ominous dark-clad men to harass these witnesses into turning over any evidence and then by threatening them, they keep silent. Certain evidence states that these agents travel in threes, which corroborates with similar reports. The eccentric and awkward nature of these mysterious Silencers, perhaps something out of comic books or science-fiction movies, was obviously intentional, so that if witnesses ever spoke about them, others would perceive them as wacked-out crackpots, hence debunking their claims as eyewitnesses of any UFO phenomena. And that's another ingenious factor of the US government's UFO cover-up. This makes sense because Bill Moore also purports that the AFSAC commonly recruited unusual people, anywhere from burglars to ex-cons, and masters of disguise, and all sorts of odd characters from all over the country, then trained them to do the dirty work of this covert agency. But what I find really interesting is, as Bill Moore says, that the AFSAC didn't just concoct this clever charade to hassle people on their own -- they borrowed these bizarre ideas from another source. That's right, folks! From the beginning, they were inspired by strange reports of mysterious men wearing black, particularly in the days following the 1947 Roswell incident, and continuing on into the 1950s. He also states that the AFSAC had nothing to do with these earlier MIB incidences, but that they were merely using these rumored accounts as inspiration for their own agenda to send men out in strange disguises to intimidate people. So if the AFSAC, and its other incarnations and counterpart agencies in other countries, such as Great Britain and Australia, was essentially second generation Men in Black, or blatant copycats, then exactly who were these earlier original dark-suited intruders that government men later merely imitated? Hmmm. I'd say the carpet was yanked beneath our feet once again, folks! So we still have a big mystery here, and it keeps evading us. These original Men in Black couldn't have been hallucinations if numerous witnesses were approached by them. They couldn't have been mere fabrications if what the various witnesses reported were clear consistencies: dark-suited men with dark glasses usually, often wearing outdated clothing, driving up in black sedans, coming in teams of three, with unusual mannerisms and awkward ways of speaking, and so on. Another interesting fact is that both Great Britain and the USA, and even Australia, have similar government units that may be cover operations for Men in Black. While Great Britain has such outfits as DSTI (Directorate of Scientific and Technical Intelligence, as Jenny Randles suggests), and DI 55 (a defense intelligence department), then the USA has the AFSAC. Incidentally, since there have been UFO reports out of Russia too, does it mean the KGB has their own Men in Black? Something to look into. Also, these secret facilities are clearly where high-level files are concealed by top security management so that the public cannot access them. Only low-level information over the years has been released, and this is usually items that we hear from UFO eyewitnesses anyway. So in my opinion, these agencies aren't giving us any new data. I would like to know if anyone has ever had the guts to fight back at these mysterious intruders or to capture one or more of them. And have there been any defectors of this covert government operation, if that's what it is? That is, covert agents or recruitees who began to realize that what they were doing to innocent people was totally inappropriate and unconstitutional, and then decided to quit this covert operation, to either go public with the classified information, or to totally disappear for safety sake, lest his fellow agents try to stop him -- by whatever means possible, even assassination. I haven't heard anything like this personally, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened, because perhaps these Silencers will even silence their own if they get out of hand or try to disclose top-secret information to the public. Incidentally, with this very idea in mind, I have written a story called "Renegade from the Shadows," and you can find it listed on my web page, R. R. Stark's Strange and Curious Stories, if you go to the appropriate link below. So, have we really learned anything new here? Or are we left with the same old questions as before, and are there any new questions? I would sure like to hear some new answers for a change. The way I see it, the more I research the Men in Black mythology, it seems there are always far more questions than there are answers. Isn't that the typical pattern with all conspiracies and cover-ups? References: The Truth Behind Men in Black, by Jenny Randles The Day After Roswell, by Col. Philip J. REAL WITCHES AND THEIR SECRETS

Paranormal and psychic happeningsHome » Reference and Education » Paranormal Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Custom Search Search Nickson Ogilo Platinum Quality Author Platinum Author | 30 Articles Joined: March 3, 2008 Kenya The Secret World Of Witches By Nickson Ogilo | Submitted On January 19, 2015 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Nickson Ogilo Night runners are male or female witches, with extra ordinary powers, who get possessed with an evil spirit to cause nuisance at night by doing all sorts of wicked activities while people are asleep. When they get possessed, they go in trance and develop weird and abnormal characteristics ranging from sensing a human being from far, producing a red light from the tip of their tongues, climbing thorny trees, ridding on wild animals like hyenas, hippos and huge snakes, most of which they rare as pets. These wizards come in all ages, ranging from middle age teenagers to mature men and women, but of course strong enough to dare the race at night. They run nude in the pitch of darkness, but they never get hurt. They are so sensitive, that trapping them is almost impossible. Most of the time we had always succeeded in tracking some, we had to follow specific steps and the results were quite positive! During the day, night runners are very normal people, leading a normal life and socializing in the community just like any other person. When the sun sets, their character shifts from that of a normal human being to an unpredictable person with crazy behaviors and thoughts. They are known to camouflage in the bushes, on trees, in the water and on rocks while waiting for people to frighten and ambush. When in trance, wizards are so powerful that when they apply their wits and evil sudden ambush, they can cause eternal deafness, dumbness or even death. They are people living in two different worlds but they never reveal their secrets to anybody who doesn't share the wizard or witchcraft qualities. Male night runners only possess the night running qualities but their female counterparts exhibit another characteristic: Apart from running at night, they also cast evil spells through their evil eye. This, they simply do by looking at somebody while eating, drinking or swallowing a saliva, resulting into a severe stomach ache on the bewitched person. There are only special witch-doctors or traditional herbalists who know how to remove the evil eye or protecting people from getting attacked by the evil eye. A night runner would visit your homestead deep in the night and run around the house, while throwing small stones on the iron sheet roof, causing a continuous irritation that would keep you awake for the better part of the night. When irritated, they get nasty and repeatedly bump on peoples doors with their bums. But tracking or seeing them even during this time is not easy because when you open the door to check, they camouflage by hoisting themselves right above the door and tuck their feet in. Night running or casting of an evil eye is mostly hereditary but in some cases, people who were originally not witches are known to have been apprenticed through powerful rituals, and for their family to be successful, the correlation the wife and the husband must be good. For instance, some communities believe that when a night runner is out running and kicking doors or frightening people at night, their spouses should be in the kitchen frying groundnuts with one leg stuck up on the cooking stone. If the groundnuts get burnt, it is believed that the night runner would be nabbed. People dreaded night runners because of their underworld activities since time immemorial, but unlike today when their punishment is severe beating and death in some communities, they were not supposed to be publicly denounced lest they cast an evil spell on the person who did so. Our ancestors treated them with respect and there would be a pact between the person who caught a night runner and the night runner him/herself, which would lead to the night runner being set free unhurt and protected, but would reward the tracker by secretly giving off a black cow. The first time we went out on a hunt mission to track the wizards, we were not allowed to enter home for a specific duration to help us escape being sniffed. We were also told to avoid eating fresh red meat or a matured cockerel. It is also believed that anybody who wants to deal with a stubborn night runner should roast a fresh Euphorbia twig. Apparently, this makes the limbs of the night runner swell and prevent them from causing disturbance. HOW TO USE ASTRAL PROJECTION

Paranormal and psychic happeningsHome » Reference and Education » Paranormal Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Custom Search Search Hieu Doan Platinum Quality Author Platinum Author | 28 Articles Joined: May 23, 2007 Australia The Way of Astral Projection By Hieu Doan | Submitted On May 23, 2007 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Astral projection is the ability to move the consciousness deliberately into the plane of reality known as the 'astral.' This plane exists at a subtler level than the physical and so in this plane it is easier to create and receive mental manifestations. If for example we wish to see a particular person we can move to them instantly, without the usual physical process of getting transport to meet them, or making sure that they are home. Knowledge and information too is created at a faster speed without the friction of the physical to slow it down. The planes of the astral work in densities. The higher planes have a lesser density and the lower planes have a heavier density. This is the reason why mastery of the mind and emotions is important for higher level astral work. All thoughts and emotions have a particular density and form. These forms act quite literally as obstacles to moving into the subtler realms. The harder that we push, the more impatient and 'power' that we try to muster, the more these realms elude us. The impatience, tension and force that we create has a density that prevents us from entry. Ironically it is by diminishing the effects of desire, impatience and force that we enter these gates. This principle holds true all the way from the most simple astral projection to the most deep and subtle. The main pre-requisites to astral projection are relaxation and focus, although in truth all that is really required is focus. In the beginning we learn to control our bodies to the extent that we can effect a complete and deep relaxation. The body literally falls asleep, yet part of the mind remains conscious and awake. This is simply a shift from what we normally do, which is to allow the mind to move into the sleep state with the body. In this case we are training the mind to be awake while the body sleeps. This simple practice develops aspects of mind control in that the mind must learn to not fall asleep and instead focus. Each time the mind tries to fall asleep with the body, we will it remain conscious. It is interesting that many modern people are not actually 'embodied.' So much of our lives are spent thinking and living in the future of possibilities or in the past of happenings, thoughts and emotions. What is interesting about this is that when it comes to splitting the consciousness from the body a reaction sets in that seeks to prevent us from projecting or leaving. It is not so much an intellectual fear as a primal one, yet it is not at the unconscious level as much as at the conscious and subconscious. Our bodies do quite well with out the interference of the conscious mind. Our heart beats, our lungs breathe, our immune systems fight off disease - none of these require our direction ~ they simply does what they do. The fear that we will die if we leave our body does not come from the fear that our body will die. It comes from fear of the unknown. Of what will happen to our mind if we leave our body. The more that we face this threshold, the more that we face this fear, the easier it becomes to cross it. Slowly, like babies we venture further and further until we realize that we are in fact safer leaving our bodies as we are safe to leave the house. What is also interesting is that we all leave our bodies every night that we sleep. It is just that we are unconscious of this and we do not remember. Our subconscious plays out its reactions and interactions within the astral realm which is why dreams can be so crazy. Flying pink elephants can and will appear instantly if this is what is required in a dream. The difference between the dream and astral projection is being conscious. Being consciousness in the astral just as in life is what provides the opportunity for deliberate choice and intention. The importance of being conscious ties right back to the foundational process required to astral project. At the moment the body sleeps, if we lose consciousness then we lose deliberate choice and intention. If we remain conscious then we keep choice and intention. This is the difference between simply falling asleep and astral projection. GHOST RADAR CELL PHONE APP PICKS UP SPIRITS

Paranormal and psychic happeningsHome » Reference and Education » Paranormal Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Custom Search Search Carolyn Molnar Platinum Quality Author Platinum Author | 30 Articles Joined: December 3, 2015 Canada Things That Go Bump in the Dark By Carolyn Molnar | Submitted On April 11, 2017 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Carolyn Molnar We sat in a circle in the dark room and watched Angela's Ghost Radar cell phone app on the table hunt for spirit presence as a line swept continuously across the dull green radar screen. Suddenly, a yellow bead of light popped onto the radar, alerting us of a spirit presence nearby. "What is your name?" Angela called into the darkness. We listened to the silence. "Can you tell us your name?" Then, buttons on Alice's KII Meter, which senses electromagnetic fields, began glowing green, yellow and red. I felt a prickly sensation on the back of my neck. Recently, I took about 20 of my mediumship students to a haunted basement in Scarborough, Ontario. Several people brought digital recorders and cameras, and Angela also had a spirit box, which gives off energy in the form of white noise that spirits can use to communicate with us. In addition, Fritz, a filmmaker from England's National Film and TV School, recorded the goings-on for a documentary he was making. We said a prayer asking for the highest and best to come through and guide us throughout the evening. Then Angela, Alice, Joanne and others set their ghostbusting devices on the table in the middle of the circle. "Is anyone here?" Angela asked, then again a little later. "Would someone like to talk with us?" A blip showed itself on the screen of Angela's telephone. The Ghost Radar app picked up an energy hovering nearby. Then things began happening. "I feel funny," Robin said, and turned to Maureen sitting beside her. Several people thought they saw a mist move across Maureen's and Robin's faces. Brenda snapped a few pictures on her cell phone. When she called up the photos, jagged yellow lines crossed the picture. "Those squiggles look like spirit energy," I told her. Several students were attracted to a full-length mirror on a back wall. I wondered if this was because mirrors are often portals to the other side. I felt something come over me and said, "I don't feel very well." At that moment, just to my left, someone took a picture of me. There's a grey cloud swoosh just behind my head. Other students showed photos they'd captured on their cell phones. Several had small white orbs that appeared to be dancing near the ceiling. Throughout this, Fritz moved around the room, recording everything on his video camera. "Is there some special significance to the clock on the back wall?" Benjamin asked, pointing to the clock shaped like a motorcycle rider; the clock face was the bike's front wheel. Angela laughed, (Later, she said the area used to be a hangout for a motorcycle club.) I sensed a shift in the room - spirit had left the building, and the evening wound down. I asked everyone to take their seats again and we said a closing prayer. As we headed upstairs to go back to our cars, I asked my students, "Did you feel the evening was worthwhile?" "Yes!" they enthusiastically replied. And Angela said, "When can we do it again?" Carolyn Molnar is a Toronto based Psychic Medium and Spiritual Teacher. She has over 30 years' experience. REAL EXORCIST SAYS CASTING OUT DEMONS IS FUN

When you get God's Spirit in, upon, and flowing through you demon spirits tremble in your presence. Jesus said, "If I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, than the kingdom of God has come unto you" (Matthew 12:28). Establishing the kingdom of God on earth requires that we first kick out all the demons inhabiting and controlling people. You are either filled with the Holy Spirit or another evil spirit (Romans 8:9). The powers of the air controlling atmospheres over cities greatly influence people (Ephesians 2:1-2). Most Americans know nothing about demonology beyond the exorcist movies we watch. Exorcism is far more simple than TV makes it look. Exorcism is just a fancy name for casting out a demon spirit, which can be done relatively easy when you know your spiritual authority in Christ. Talking to demons is like rebuking a disobedient dog, you just do it in the Name of Jesus. Demon spirits show up in the strangest places and manifest their ugliness any time. Jesus was in synagogue when a devil cried out interrupting the service (Mark 1:22-28). Jesus told the devil to shut up and cast it out of the person. I was ministering in Punjab, India and was nearly ready to close the service after I prayed for those who gave in the offering. Usually in foreign countries I preach and then give the service back to the local Pastor to conduct. In Punjab, the precious Pastor asked me to pray for the offering and those who gave at the end of the service. While I was doing so, suddenly some lady began screaming out frantically and demonically in the back of the building. I told the devil to shut up and proceeded to cast it out. I thought I would be going back to my hotel immediately after a short prayer. God had other plans. The anointing and power of the Holy Spirit was so strong upon the prayer, a demon manifested and came out. Afterward more people came forward to give into that offering and the place erupted with great joy. I've ministered in every continent and by God's grace liberated people in all of them from ugly dirty little devils. Greater is Christ Jesus in His people than the power of evil in the world (1 John 4:4). Jesus gives His disciples power over all of the power of the enemy (Luke 10:17-21). Let us therefore arise break the back of the devil, set the captives free, and declare liberty throughout the land. HAUNTED DARTMOOR

Paranormal and psychic happeningsHome » Reference and Education » Paranormal Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Angela Tempest Diamond Quality Author Diamond Author | 167 Articles Joined: February 11, 2014 United Kingdom Hauntings of Dartmoor, Devon By Angela Tempest | Submitted On April 15, 2014 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Angela Tempest There are many exposed granite hilltops which are called tors and are home to a variety of wildlife and the entire area has a rich history as well as archaeology. The area is named for the River Dart, which leaves the moor at Buckfastleigh and enters the sea at Dartmouth. Cranmere Pool Cranmere Pool is a shallow pool on the eastern side of Hangingstone Hill near the source of the West Okement River and the East Dart River. It now lies within Okehampton Artillery range, operated by the Ministry of Defence. It is famous for being the location of the very first letterbox which was placed there by James Perrott in 1854. He was a guide across the moors and placed a bottle there for visitors to leave cards. The pool features in the legend of Benjamin Gear, who was mayor of the town of Okehampton on five different occasions. He was accused of stealing sheep and as punishment ordered to drain Cranmere Pool with a sieve. Being a bit of a crafty sort, he stole another sheep and lined the sieve with its skin to accomplish his task. But it didn't do him any good as he was hung on nearby Hangingstone Hill for this misdemeanour. His spirit was condemned to spin the sand in the empty pool into ropes and since has been unable to do this, is still trying... There is also said to be a figure who haunts the pool and can change his form into that of a black horse, though his identity is unknown. There were rumours of an exorcism performed on the pool, but that it failed. Dartmoor Prison I remember visiting Dartmoor Prison as a kid when our family lived in Devon, and I don't think I have seen a more desolate and forbidding spot since. The prison was built from 1806-09 using local labourers for prisoners from the Napoleonic Wars as well as from the War of 1812 with the Americans. In fact, though the war ended in 1814, by March 1815 there were still 6500 American sailors imprisoned in Dartmoor, but their discipline created the model prison. They created their own governance and courts who dealt out punishment to any who misbehaved. They also had a market, theatre and a gambling room. The prison was opened as a civilian prison in 1851 but closed in 1917 and became a Work Centre for conscientious objectors granted release from prison; cells were unlocked, and prisoners wore normal clothes as well as being able to visit the village. But by 1920, the prison became home to some of the worst offenders in the country. It is now a category C men's prison which is owned by the Duchy of Cornwall and operated by HM Prison Service. One of the most commonly reported hauntings on the prison grounds comes from the graves of the French prisoners at the rear of the prison. Here a short man with long dark hair is often seen gliding along without touching the ground in the middle of the night. Even a now retired governor admitted seeing him one night while doing his rounds. He may or may not be one of the French PoW's who are said to haunt the prison itself. Another ghost is a former prisoner called David Davis. He was imprisoned in 1869 and stayed there for 50 years, during which time he was given the duty of looking after the sheep. When his sentence was finished, he begged to be kept on as he didn't want to leave his sheep. The governor refused but joked he would keep the job open. Sure enough, Davis was back in prison two weeks later and died there in 1929. However, his spirit continues to tend his flock of sheep and has been seen many times following them around. Jay's Grave Jay's Grave is the supposed grave of a suicide victim from the 18th century around 1 mile north-west of Hound Tor and at the entrance to a lane which heads to Natsworthy. The story was given in the North Devon Journal on 23rd January 1851 that one James Bryant had been removing some soil near his home of Hedge Barton when he discovered a grave. A skeleton was found to be inside, and it was said to be that of a woman named Ann Jay who had hanged herself around 70 years previously and was buried at the crossroads, as was the custom at the time. The folklore of the grave is that is always has fresh flowers on it, and sometimes other items including coins, candles, shells and even toys. Some locals, including author Beatrice Chase, is one person who admitted often leaving an item on the grave. But this does not explain the sightings by motorists of a dark, hooded figure kneeling at the grave in the night, glimpsed in their headlights as they approach. Perhaps this is the spirit of the man who caused Ann Jay to kill herself still suffering guilt for his part? Other hauntings A place as bleak and beautiful as Dartmoor is bound to acquire stories and folklore, and there are plenty. Some of the less detailed ones include: Wonson Manor - the manor is in the village of Wonson and parts date from the 13th century. It was owned by the Nothmore family and is haunted by four Cavaliers who are seen sitting around a table, playing cards. One of them is identified as William Nothmore. Wistman's Wood - the woods are home to Wish Hounds, who appear in the winter during bad storms and hunt lone wayfarers into mires and bogs under orders from the Devil. There are also reports of a group of figures dressed in white walking a path through the woods which was used for funerals. Newhouse Inn - the inn stood on Widecombe Hill and was constructed by the Woodley family on the site of an earlier inn and was known as Culver House. It was destroyed by a mysterious fire 150 years ago and since then, a horseman in military garb has been seen galloping nearby as well as a coach and horses which slows at the ruins then takes off again at speed. Bennett's Cross - the cross stands by the road from Moretonhampstead to Two Bridges, north-west of the Warren House Inn. The cross is thought to be a boundary marker between parishes, but it is judged to be of considerable age. Even the name is uncertain, either due to it being erected by the Benedictine Order or for William Bennet, a miner from the local area in the 16th century. Large phantom dogs are said to hunt the area and on one occasion, even killed the son of a farmer. VISIT MAPLEWOOD HAUNTED HOTEL

Paranormal and psychic happeningsHome » Reference and Education » Paranormal Join Sign in EzineArticles - Expert Authors Sharing Their Best Original Articles Search Carolyn Molnar Platinum Quality Author Platinum Author | 29 Articles Joined: December 3, 2015 Canada A Haunted Hotel Room By Carolyn Molnar | Submitted On November 09, 2016 Recommend Article Article Comments Print Article Expert Author Carolyn Molnar If you visit Lily Dale, the largest Spiritualist community in North America, one of the places to stay is The Maplewood Hotel, a rebuilt horse barn that opened a century ago. People swear the place is haunted; stories abound of horse whinnies in the middle of the night, and a lady in Victorian clothes that floats up the second-floor stairway. When booking accommodations, people often request a haunted room, but the reservation agent politely tells them the rooms are as clear as the sky on a summer day. Lily Dale can get quite crowded on the weekends, and it's almost impossible to get spur-of-the-moment accommodations at the Maplewood. But luck was on our side last year, when circumstances dictated that we needed to get to the Dale a day earlier than our scheduled arrival. We'd been on the road for several hours and every motel we stopped at was either all booked up, or only had smoking rooms available. At 10 pm, we crossed our fingers and my husband telephoned to see if there was possibly an opening at the Maplewood. "We'll even take a broom closet!" he begged the night manager. Our luck came through. There was a last-minute vacancy. "We'll be there in 15 minutes!" he cried, and we made the 25-minute drive in record time. I don't know how fast we were going because I kept my eyes closed most of the trip. When the night manager saw us arrive with our luggage, he smiled sheepishly. "The room only has a double bed," he said, and led us to the top floor. Room 42 was a small, square space with a hardwood floor, a bed, a wooden chair, and a two-drawer dresser. Exhausted from our drive, we collapsed into bed and fell asleep. Sometime during the night, we woke to the sounds of a creaking rocking chair, and thudding footsteps walking around the bed. What was my husband doing out of bed, rummaging around the room? Maybe he was having a hard time snoozing, and was rocking himself to sleep. In my dog-tired state, I was too bushed to talk to him. The rhythmic sound of the rocking chair was like a metronome that quickly lulled me back to sleep. When I woke the next morning, he was looking at the chair that definitely had four wooden feet on the floor. When he saw me, he said, "I could've sworn I heard a rocking chair last night." "Me, too," I said. Later that morning, we were able to move into the room we'd originally booked: number 6. A few days later, we happened to overhear a conversation between two women on the Maplewood's front porch. One said she'd had a very interesting experience in her room last night involving a rocking chair and tramping footsteps around the bed. "Were you by any chance in Room 42?" I asked. The woman nodded. "I understand that happens to a lot of people," she said. "On a person's first night in Room 42, they'll get a kind-of visitation, as if someone's checking them out and making sure they're OK." I smiled, happy to know that we'd evidently passed the Room 42 test and we'd been approved by spirit. Carolyn Molnar is a Toronto based Psychic Medium and Spiritual Teacher.
