And that no matter HOW much afterlife evidence there is... it's still too difficult to accept that something could continue on, after our physical death occurs. After all, for many years I was a complete and utter skeptic and cynic of ALL things spiritual, paranormal and "woo-woo" myself. What changed for me? Having a personal experience that completely changed my paradigm, and my perspective on what is possible, and potentially, what awaits us ALL after we die. Filed Under: The most persuasive PROOF that life continues after the physical body dies 1 - My experience was called an ADC, or after death communication, and it happened, as many do... at the MOMENT a close friend of mine passed away, unexpectedly, many mile away. These are very similar to apparitional experiences, and in my case, again... what I DID see was an apparition of my friend appearing to me, by my bedside, waving goodbye and communicating in a telepathic way. (I never heard his voice verbally, but heard it in my mind's eye... and even though I was startled awake, knew without any question that he was there, and it wasn't a dream) Of course the next morning I discovered my co-worker had passed away overnight... at the time of the experience, over 1000 miles away, and completely a "freak" illness and accident) 2 - Later, I had a psychic medium describe to me the entire experience above, in crystal clear detail... even though I had told no one, and there was literally NO way she could have known the details that she shared. If I was on the fence about whether an afterlife was possible AFTER the ADC experience, the medium cemented in me a certitude that there was something spiritual about the dying experience, and something "survives" after we're gone. Over the last decade, I've now studied THOUSANDS of people who have had similar experiences and encounters as my own, and I'll share 3 more types of common experiences I believe are proof POSITIVE that the afterlife is real. 3 - Shared Death Experiences. Very similar to NDE's (the traveling through a tunnel, seeing a body of light, having a life review, etc) only the shared experience happens when a person NOT dying actually travels with a loved one, or companion who is. These are very common... but not described all that often in literature, and of course, CAN'T be explained as hallucinations caused by a dying brain. (something the skeptics like to say explains the near death experience away) Why are these BETTER evidence in some respects ethan the NDE? Because if 2 people share in a very similar experiences, and are truthful and honest and report the same phenomena, it certainly seems to suggest the place visited during the shared experience was real. (and outside of the body) 4 - Speaking of out of the body... OBE's and astral projection experiences are very powerful as well, and very evidential too. After all, if consciousness can exist outside of your physical body, and is NOT limited to the brain, than it opens up an incredible portal of possibility into wonderful worlds and spiritual realities that our ordinary senses suppress. (and yet, when we leave the physical body, become available to explore for all) The truth is, there are MANY other similar experiences that have proven to me that something continues after we die. EVP (electronic voice phenomena) Lucid and precognitive dreams (where information is gained that appears psychic in nature) Ghosts and hauntings Past life memories of small children Death bed visions (people who are dying speak to loved ones who have already crossed... and often witnessed by others at the death bed as well) Psychic mediums who are able to accurately offer real information from loved ones who have crossed... often in incredible detail, and reveal things that would be impossible for them to know (I've had hundreds of evidential readings with world class mediums, and this may be the EASIEST way to get proof that there is) Finally - It's really not ONE simple thing that has proven it to me. Rather, It's the entirety of the evidence, all taken together that is so incredibly strong.
